Radio Shack rebranding

Radio Shack---you've got questions, we've got batteries.
And they are on sale.

They should rebrand it as "Worthless Shack." What a laugh that place is, especially compared to what it once was.

Lucky for me, our town has a REAL electronics store, independantly owned and operated. It's stocked full of project boxes, components, cabling, connectors, tools, etc. Everything you'd need for projects. The staff is knowledgeable and the prices are competitive. In fact, most radio and TV engineers shop there regularly.
We have a couple good parts houses that have local pickup for orders, and one still has a showroom but it's kind of out of the way. Other than that, there is one good little electronics store in town that is a favorite of the local hams.

Crap Shack is my last choice, when the aforementioned aren't open.

Mouser has what I need with overnight delivery. I can't tell you the last time I was in a Radio Shack. Actually, I can. It was about 10 years ago. I went to get a few XLR connectors in a pinch. What they had was so cheap and flimsy I decided to order them online and just wait for 'em. Radio Shack abandoned their roots long ago and I'm surprised they have lasted this long. With this change, I doubt they remain in business much longer.
