Radio Station App for iPhone

On my iPhone, I have Clear Channel's iheartradio, and I know that individual radio stations have downloadable apps. But does anyone know of another app with which you can hear numerous stations across the U.S.?

Thanks.

I have an application on my phone it is called "WunderRadio". I can get 90% of all stations from across the country...and most from around the world!! Works best on WiFi. Charlotte radio sucks...so I had to find a way to listen to stations somewhere else. Hope this helps you. Just curious as to how you like IHeartRadio? I think its a great application. Just in case WunderRadio doesn't work..you can try StreamFurious. Those are the best.

Thanks, guys.

AJ, I use iheart mainly to listen to major CHR stations like Z100/NY, Kiss 108/Boston and Y100/Miami. I've listened a little to CC's genre stations.

TuneIn is really good. It seems to have every station EXCEPT CC's.

I am an Android user but I like the Tune In app... I used StreamFurious before. It was a tad primitive but it works. I use Iheartradio when I need a quick FoxSports fix or a WGST fix.

I have an iPhone, and my friends call me "The App Guy." So, let me try to help you out. Here are some other apps for US radio stations: AOL Radio, Yahoo! Radio, CBS Radio, FlyCast, Buzz Radio, iRadioNOW, Public Radio, Radiolicious, SHOUTcast, Spokane Radio, Red Rock, and Radio Fargo/Moorhead.

Also, Wunder, as has been mentioned, is an app that has multiple streaming selections. There's a free version of it that anyone web savvy should be able to use reasonably well called fStream. You have to enter the streaming links yourself, but it's worth the price to me. Plus, you can get the streaming links directly on your iPhone at http://tuned.mobi.

Hope that helps!

I happen to LOVE WunderRadio. I like that you can also stream NOAA Weather Radio from just about everywhere in the country. Favorite stations: Z-100/New York City, 95.8 Capital-FM/London, KEC80/Stone Mountain (NOAA WX Radio), KIIS/Los Angeles, WHHD/Augusta, 97-BHT/Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, etc.

Which one of these apps...can I listen to Radio One stations on?? They never seem to work

Radio One has a deal with AirKast to make iPhone and Android apps. Some stations are already out, and many more will be rolled out in the coming months.

I have had no problem listening to Radio One stations via fStream. However, you have to know the stream's address and whether you should use HTTP or MMS to access it.

I've noticed that thestreamcenter.com/tuned.mobi hasn't been updated for quite some time. Most Clear Channel streams don't work anymore. I have a Windows Mobile phone, and now use vtuner.com to listen to most CC streams.

I know this is a little off-topic, but is there a CBS Radio app for the Blackberry? I tried Nobex but its terrible on my phone, and I tried to get the official app from AOL/CBS but I need to be an AT&T customer. I have Verizon.

I've had some problems with some of the streams on tuned.mobi, too. Given how often stations change their streaming addresses and how some streaming providers hate people bypassing their players, I think they do a pretty good job. I can't imagine any site being perfect! Thanks for the info on vTuner. I'll check it out if I run across some broken links!

As for the BlackBerry, the only CBS Radio app I'm aware of (besides Nobex) is the one you mention, which only works on models sold by AT&T. A friend of mine uses Sprint and switched to Android because of issues with streaming on his BlackBerry. Android, however, has its own share of issues. The iHeartRadio app for Android has about half the stations it does for the iPhone and the BlackBerry, and some models of Android barely stream at all.
