Radio Station Listings?

Anyone know where I can find an accurate listing of radio stations in the southeast Louisiana area? It seems like everything I am finding online has nothing but outdated information. I am asking because I'm curious as to what I can hear from my house in Mandeville. It's been a while since I've done any sort of DX'ing. Thanks!

The format list will always be inaccurate unless you are willing to pay 100000watts.com their $90/year

For format, about the best I've seen in the free market currently is the old MIT list http://www.radio-locator.com/

For just transmitter info, best one I've found short of digging thru the hell that is the FCC is http://cdbs.recnet.com/fmq.php? as they update it quite often (even though it does include future buildouts)

Thanks. You two just gave me a reason to waste some time at work. I do some of my best personal business while there. I'll be checking out both of the links tomorrow. I was hoping to stay away from the FCC's site, but I think I'll end up there anyway.

I help to run 100000watts.com, so I'm partial to it (and I absolutely believe you get what you pay for - it's hard for a free site to keep up with something like 20,000 US and Canadian radio facilities the way we can with a paid staff that works on this full-time!)

But if you're just after the technical information and don't need the formats, there's a free site that presents the information from the FCC database in a much easier-to-use form than the FCC site itself. Go spend some quality time with fccinfo.com and you won't regret it.

I appreciate all the links. Hope to do some DX'ing this weekend. There's something about pulling in an AM station hundreds of miles away that keeps me up late at night.

I'll second that one, Scott; been using it since the beta version.
