Radio station tv commercials

I've been seing a wgtk 970 tv commercial when in town visiting my girlfriend on the weekends. I can't tell you the last time I've seen a Louisville radio station advertise on TV. I've noticed their ratings are consistently around a 1.5, is it a pretty good station on the weekdays?

If you are looking for strictly conservative political talk radio, then WGTK is the best in town. However, if you are looking for any type of localism with a variety of hosts, then WGTK is not the place to turn since all the programs during the week are national syndicated shows and most of them are owned by Salem. The bulk of their programming comes from the satellite feed of Salem's Talk network except for Laura Ingraham Show. On Monday of this week, WGTK switched the Mike Gallagher Show to the noon-3pm shift and moved The Dennis Prager Show to the 9pm-midnight shift. I guess they figure Mike Gallagher will be a stronger competitor against Rush Limbaugh on WHAS-840 and Dave Ramsey WKJK-1080. The problem is that Mike Gallagher's show is now delayed since he is live from 9am-noon. The Dennis Prager Show, which use to air live on WGTK from noon-3pm, is also delayed on WGTK since that show has been moved to the 9pm-midnight shift. Mike Medved and Hugh Hewitt seems to be the most popular shows on WGTK. The demand for the Hugh Hewitt Show is one reason why Louisville Minor League Baseball will no longer call AM 970 the home station after 14 years on that frequency. The Bats will move to WKRD-790 starting this upcoming season.

100.5 Louie FM ran some ads not long after they signed on.

BTW, WKRD made an excellent pickup by getting the Bats, since there's minimal overlap with U of L football and basketball.
