Radio Stations Presets

I think I've done this but there were some changes.

The AMs are:

550 WAME Real Country (not a satellite format), WIOZ America's Best Music on the way to the beach

1490 WSTP Real Country (the satellite format)
1580 WZKY Magic 103.3 (60s, 70s, 80s)

I don't remember which FMs are which, but I have 12. Actually, I'm not sure which ones I currently have set.

88.5 WFDD NPR
90.7 WFAE NPR
91.1 WYFG BBN (Christian talk and traditional music), WRBK oldies (on the way to the beach)
92.5 WESC classic country in the mountains

OK, car presets for me here in Hartland, VT, all six tiers, six stations each:

1. 88.1 WNCH Norwich, VT (classical)
2. 100.5 WXXK West Lebanon, NH (country)
3. 95.3 WXLF Hartford, VT (country, simulcast of 107.1 WZLF Bellows Falls)
4. 105.3 WJEN Killington, VT (country)
5. 94.7 W234BN Claremont, NH (classic/contemporary country hybrid, '50s through today, translator for 1010 AM WCNL Newport)
6. 106.7 W294AB Hanover, NH ('60s/'70s oldies, translator for 96.3 WFYX Walpole)

7. SXM Outlaw Country
8. SXM Symphony Hall
9. SXM The Highway
10. SXM Prime Country
11. SXM Willie's Place
12. SXM Y2Kountry

13. SXM MLB Network Radio
14 -18. SXM MLB PBP channels

19-24 SXM MLB PBP channels

25-28 SXM MLB PBP channels
29. 106.1 WHDQ Claremont, NH (classic rock)
30. 93.9 WWOD Claremont, NH (AAA)

31. SXM '70s on 7
32. SXM Beatles Channel
33. SXM E Street Radio (Springsteen)
34. SXM '60s Gold
35. SXM Deep Tracks
36. SXM Soul Street

Note: After baseball season ends, some of the MLB PBP presets become NFL and NHL presets, others stay dormant until the following spring. And no AMs. The only two signals strong enough for acceptable listening here deep in the Connecticut River Valley are right-wing talk and ESPN Radio, the first a format I despise, the second I can get on SXM. I drive a Chevy, so if GM ever decides to drop AM, I'll gladly welcome them here to remove it personally from my car. I'll take my chances on FM letting me know when it comes to hurricanes, blizzards, terrorist attacks (On what? Dairy farms? Health food stores? Subaru dealerships?), nuclear war, etc..

Whenever I’m traveling out of town, I always set a preset to 92.1 FM. That way I can start there, and hit seek whenever I’m in a new area.
Now, THAT is how it's done in the mindset of a legit radiophile. Great idea and well done, sir. I tend to hit the seek button a lot, while traveling in an unfamiliar area. It just never dawned on me to do this.

I look at the FM Fool bandscans for the areas I'm going to, find those that don't stream, and try to listen to them or even record them as much as possible. I won't be back in whatever area for who knows how long, so best to record and enjoy it :)

Clever. I'm going to do that with one button at 92.1 and one art 88.1, as there is life below 92 MHz.

Indeed there is, and while I can appreciate some CCM, NPR, and other eclectic non-comm options, my usual road trip companions prefer more mainstream programming and I like to satisfy my passengers.

I'm all into AM:
1. 740 KCBS, San Francisco (News)
2. 940 KYNO, Fresno (Oldies)
3. 1360 KRKK, Rock Springs, WY (Oldies, DX find that's been coming in semi-reliably at night)
4. 1600 KUBA, Marysville (Classic Hits)
5. 1670 (local community/emergency radio station)
6. 1610 or 1710 (my Part 15 station :) )

But I do have a couple FM presets:
1. 103.7 KOSF (iHeart 80s+)
2. 106.9 KCBS

Been toying with putting 98.1 KISQ on a preset, but I can't get past the low quality digital compression they seem to be using.

Now that Audacy has killed WMC-FM (FM 100) in Memphis my no. 3 preset has become what I call a floating preset for stations I listen to temporarily and may replace with something else later.

Sirius XM. The radio in the Honda I bought from my dad last year was not satellite-compatible, and given how much I like the factory radio, I purchased a small unit to fit into the car.
1 80s on 8
2 90s on 9
3 Yacht Rock (Between Memorial Day and Labor Day when Yacht Rock is on 14. When the channel goes back to 311 only, this becomes my 10th preset and the current 4-10 are 3-9.)
4 Beatles Channel
5 Classic Vinyl
6 Highway
7 60s Gold
8 Mad Dog Sports Radio
9 MLB Network Radio (NFL Radio from the end of baseball season through the Super Bowl.)
