Weird topic, just for fun, but does anyone remember these?
KLRX (Lite 97.9) welcoming KMEZ listeners after KMEZ-107.5 was dropped for KCDU ("Classic rock, without the heavy metal") in 1991?
KLIF-1190 telling listeners in a looped recording to "move down the dial" to the new 570 dial position in 1990?
KTXQ-Q102 telling listeners during the AOR-to-Jammin' Oldies stunting in 1998 that, for classic rock, tune into 92.5 KZPS, and for today's modern rock, tune into The Edge? And Q102 even simulcasted KZPS for several hours as part of the stunt.
KPCN-730 AM telling listeners to move up the dial to KYAL-1600 to keep hearing their favorite country music? That was 1969, when the new KKDA-AM became "Sunny" briefly as an easy listening station.
KRLD-"Oldies 10-80" telling talk show fans to make the move to WBAP? (Oh, wait...that's not supposed to happen until 2008...sorry.) ;D
Others?
