Radio Still The Number One Place For Music

Do you have a link to this study?

Yes, Radio is still the place for new music. I have a question, to spin off of this...

What about radio stations, that do promotions to giveaway Mp3 players? Do you think that make sense for radio to give-away iPods?

I think it's like a radio station giving away a tv. I heard K-103 in Minneapolis doing it last week, just thought it sounded bad. Thoughts?

this was posted on Radio and Records website one day last week, I tried to search for it to no avail...I'm sorry. If I do run across it I will post it up here.

I'm on a roll tonight, Sorry haven't been on in a while...I love to post.

Uh, I saw this in the Wall Street Journal this week. A study that was released a few weeks ago. Radio is still the place for new music. But, radio is starting to shrink their piece of the pie. Our younger P1's are finding music on the net quicker on the net...we need to keep this in mind...CONSULTANTS! Wow, don't get me started on over paid people with no clue. I know its important to keep a formated playlist...but for goodness sake take some chances...we're going to lose this battle by playing everything safe. That's whats wrong with America....WE'RE TOO DAMN SAFE. Live a little. Take Changes. Be different. NO more cookie cutter blandness. ): SOAP BOX: OFF. End transmission.
