I was waiting for it to happen and now it is finally upon us. INTERNET RADIO!
This will mean the end to radio stations that offer nothing unique to their local listeners. Many broadcasters especially Christian Radio Stations act simply as translators for main channels humdred of miles away.
Now listeners will be able to choose stations from any place in the country.. and local stations with small footprints that offer lots of local programming will be able to establish BIG footprints and greater loyalty among locals.. something we look forward to doing.

GM is adding Wi-Fi to four of their vehicle brands
The addition of in-car wireless Internet access by GM’s Cadillac division was previously reported by Radio-Info, but this expands that roll out to a number of Buick, GMC and Chevrolet models, starting next month. Automotive News says the device, made by San Francisco’s Autonet Mobile, will create a Wi-Fi hotspot with a range of 150 feet, completely covering the vehicle it is in and a number of feet around it, allowing for the use of devices such as laptop computers, game players and other portables inside the vehicle. The same connection will stream Internet radio stations. The device will cost $499 for the unit, which also comes with a dock so it can be moved into other GM vehicles. Internet access is expected to cost $29 monthly.
