Another sad example of how corporate "genius" has dictated the further demise of quality information programming.

I can't wait for the day someone comes back with LOCAL newscasts, LOCAL anchors, LOCAL stories with LOCAL references (that aren't misprounced), LOCAL sports and LOCAL traffic reports. Surely in a city with as many automobile accidents as Memphis, there MUST be an audience for it.

The audience for all of that never left, it just got older and advertisers didn't want to reach them. Of course, the blowback from that is that they have lost almost everyone under 30, who listen to their own iPods and stream internet radio at work.
