Radio turned TV anchor gone?

If I'm out of line by posting this topic here,I apologize.I'm just afraid that if I were to post it in the TV section it may not get read for a while.
Does anyone know what happened to former radio news reader Jeff Lemmucchi? He worked at KERN and then at a CLEAR CHANNEL radio talker. For the last couple of years though he has been anchoring Bakersfield's nightly **or whenever they put him on*** news on KBAK Ch.29.He is now gone from the airwaves and gone from their website.
My wife works for a TV station across the street and all she heard is that he was let go.Im just curious.Guy has a great voice.

Great voice, yes. But rumour has it he's a serious head case.

I cannot confirm that, so I guess it is considered hearsay.

An old friend of mine who may or may not work at KNZR1560 agreed with that assessment recently. ;)

When two people say it, is it still a rumour?

Thanks WackyPants. The rumor is probably true.Found out from the Bakersfield paper's website that he was let go but someone on the site wrote that it was because of his age. That is doubtful since he couldn't have been but late 40's and if that is old then I'm a DINOSAUR!

The post on here about the new station in Fresno needing an air talent who can relate to a 40-54 year old did make me feel like some of us "OLDIES" can be hella useful on stations other than talk radio!

Jeff Lemmucchi, leans to the right a bit; that may have conflicted with the new left leaning Seattle based owners. One recently departed anchor, said the news department was headed to the left, and upper aged white Christian males had no place in the company. The departed anchor said he would clash with management over the quality of the news product, he wanting to report news more accurately and do real stories of value; the pinheads behind the scenes had a different point of view.
