Radio turns 70 at Brown University

You can read the article in today's Projo or online at projo.com, but you have to register. Paraphrasing in a nutshell, yesterday there was an audio documentary on the origins of WBRU. The Brown Radio Network began in 1936 when students strung wires through trees to broadcast to campus buildings. WBRU came about in 1966. There will be an exhibit "From Gas Pipes To Websites" weekdays 9-5 through March 9th at The John Hay Library, 20 Prospect Street. I apparently went to the wrong university. When we strung wires through trees it was to hang out our socks & underwear.
