radio wars alive and well

I am surprised that i am the first to comment on the radio wars of last week that i found highly entertaining (if not staged). Live105's Kevin called former Live105's Woody live on woody's show to call him out on "talking smack" about Kevin. Kevin claimed that he's never met the "unoriginal hack" and has no reason to understand why "this guy Jefferey with a self given made up erection inspired nickname" has been wasting any of his air-time talking about me or Live 105."

Kevin then called Woody and got right through, calling him out on "lying to his 'non-existent' audience." Woody fired back with loads of laughter and over-talk from his cohorts, who Kevin referred to as "talent-less zilches." Woody responded to Kevin by saying he knew nothing about him or his show, and that the best part of his (kevin's) show "quit after 2 weeks" (referencing the departure of original sports/comedian, Brad Willford).

Both hosts accused the other ones of having terrible ratings and having bad shows. The highlight of the exchange for me as a listener to Kevin Klein Live, and a former listener of Woody, when he was on Live mornings, was when Kevin called Woody's sidekick, Ravey, a "cackling gargoyle" and asked woody if he needed to get back to his compelling content like "redneck news story of the day."

As a radio listener, this entire exchange was amazing to listen to. The balls of Kevin to call out another show and to do it live on their show was nothing short of awe-inspiring. It was like a flight between mike tyson and glass joe. If this wasn't staged for a reason that I can't yet think of, then it was a Brilliant play by Kevin and some of the best radio i've heard in a long while.
