radio1045 has a real website now

Just heard the Flys, great mix......I love their liners, no chatter, just music, a direct hit on MMR. It seems during the day Pierre talks non stop and the commercial load is out of control. I will take music over a jock anyday but that is just my opinion.

This is what Stern is talking about when he describes radio as a low tier of the entertainment industry.

Those are really hard listening.

They need some live human beings running the show.

These folks don't need to talk a lot, they just need to tell me what they're playing, the time, temp and weather, and that's it. The automation segues are really grating on the ears.

actually i have a better idea, how about NO morning show, just 24-Hour Music, thats bound to pull in some listeners

I'll second that. There are already enough "Morning Show for Morons" on the dial. But hey, "morons" are the biggest target of the sales demo. You can sell them anything.

"Now listen to the following 18 spots, and when we return, our intern will dive into a dumpster wearing a raccoon hat and try to scare the hell out of everyone who walks by. You won't want to miss it."

There's a solid guarantee that the morons will listen to all of your advertisements for that one.

Here in greater Hartford, we used to have Radio 104, a.k.a. WMRQ-FM 104.1 of Waterbury/Hartford. This Modern Rock station used to have Dee Snider of all people as their morning show. I absolutely loved that station about 10 years ago! Lucy, which is XM channel 54, sounds a lot like they used to, minus the DJs. Perhaps I will give this new station a try should I make a visit to Philadelphia on Friday.

[Today, 104.1 is WPHH-FM, a.k.a. Power 104.1, kinda like Power 99 FM.]

Thanks :)

what are your favorite xm channels

also get ready for IT the biggest countdown of songs from the 40s to 2007 its very cool

i would love if WRFF went more like WEQX or INDIE 1031. But for Philly its a good station.
