RadioOKC.COM gets a little press......

That is really awesome man, it was a nice read and I will tune in myself and check you out!

As somebody just getting off the ground with my station do you have any advice on how to build your audience or directions to look to in order to get people finding the stream?

We have been up a short time but am still trying to figure out best ways to get our station heard.

Social media is key as long as you dont abuse it. I did quite a bit of marketing on Facebook. Actually
buying ads (and I still do). You can microtarget your message.

The other is being LOCAL. I really cant buy into slapping a stream and letting it go. I wanted to be
LOCAL. We were invited to broadcast from a arts festival that has over 200,000 in foot traffic.

The coverage from the local CBS station would not have happened If I was not LOCAL. As you can
see the reporter was excited about what was going on.

We have a HUGE chance to step up and give the community what the corps totally forgot about.

We can do this, and have a hell of a lot of fun!
