I also wish Big Dan a Happy Birthday. The greatest Top 40 DJ of all time. God bless Dan.

Big Dan is retired and lives in a condo on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Dan Ingram was one of the most flattered guys to ever crack a mic. From the mid-60s to the late 70s you could travel the east coast and hear dozens of guys who tried (in vain) to be a "local" Dan Ingram, right down to failing miserably at dropping a short sing jingle in front of the vocal.

Happy birthday Big Dan. I still laugh and scratch whenever I listen to an aircheck of you.

There was a guy on WMID sounded just like Ingram (the voice) in Atlantic City. Of course WABC itself had a DJ ON the station that sounded like Dan Ingram (Bob Cruz). Happy 77th Dan!
