Radiosophy Customer Service

While I am neither gung ho for or against HD implementation, I had a most positive customer service experience in respect to HD radio a short while ago. I have owned the Radiosophy HD100 radio for almost a month now, and have been listening to it just about everyday. I noticed over the last few days that the volume keeps creeping up, to the point where it can't be lowered to the level desired. I called up Radiosophy who advised me a new modified unit will be available by mid-August. The new modified unit will add amplification to the headphone output, as well as a modified sound control circuit for better stability. (Also a white LCD display & a few other minor updates). The rep gave me a choice of getting an immediate refund on my current radio (& keeping the rebate check), or they will ship me the new modified unit in mid-August, paying all shipping charges for the exchange. During the transaction, I was never pressured or hassled in any way, just given professional service. After seeing numerous negative experiences posted on this board, particularly with sales, I thought it fitting to be fair and give credit where credit is due. Again, not trying to push HD radio, just relaying an individual experience that was quite refreshing!

This kind of service is very rare these days. Kudos to the folks at Radiosophy.

Too bad they've put all of their eggs in the wrong technology basket, IMHO.
