Radiotime.com

Radiotime is good that way, because when people click on the station they want, there is a menu to the right that reads, "You may also like..." with a list of similar formats/kinds of stations. If you have what people want they'll stay put.

Interesting.....I forgot radiotime listed my station (or maybe I didn't list it and they took it off shoutcast???) Reciva I KNOW I didn't list it with them, and yet, there's a listing. I guess I'm listed on more sites then I thought.

I'm a big RadioTime fan on smartphones...its directly powers at least three apps on Android, and it plays stations that other streaming audio apps won't touch!

It's also the directory in the popular "WunderRadio" on the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, which itself just came out with an Android version.

I just recently discovered Radiotime.com and found out that they have TuneIn Radio, an app available for IPhone and Blackberry that will get just about any radio station or podcast that streams.

The link for IPhone is http://radiotime.com/iphone
The link for Blackberry is http://radiotime.com/bb

I've been looking for an app that would receive stations like K-LOVE, Air 1, and WAY-FM for my Blackberry Tour, but none of the ones from the stations' websites would work. With TuneIN I can get all of them. This is great!

There is also a TunedIn app for Droid phones.

It works for all stations not owned by Clear Channel (their website says to use IHeartRadio for CC stations). Unfortunately, many stations time out after 30 minutes to two hours (WBBM Chicago being a notable exception - there might be others). Don't know why this happens. RadioTime's website FAQs and forums don't address this issue.

The only time this is a real problem is in the car. I don't touch the phone for any reason while I'm driving, so I can't reset the connection until I find a place to stop.

The stream time out may or may not be at the source.

I was listening to more than one of the CBC Radio One streams the other day, when they timed out, but other stations did not.

I was using the Android version of RadioTime, which is the exact same program as TuneIn minus the ads.

CBS Radio streams are notorious for timing out or buffering I have always had issues with them no matter what platform I listen from...

I recently got a new server for my station and RadioTime had my listing updated in just a few hours they are awesome in my opinion and if you have any kind of a budget you should look into having you station featured because the results will please you to no end.

CBC Radio, out of Canada, not CBS. Though it may be true of CBS as well :)

RadioTime is quite on top of the listings. They've had format changes within a day or two!

Revently I've been having problems with Radio Time. I can't get it to work on Two PC's, and I'm almost certain it's a flash problem.

The last time I had this problem, I installed IE Flash version, after a reformat, and it worked perfectly. After the latest reformat, installing both Flash and Firefox versions of Flash, I can't tune in any Stations on the Shore and Work PC.

Thanks for the Itune radio app.... the Regular Radio time app doesn't have a record feature, but this one apparently does. I'll give it a try to see how reliable it is, and how simple the record function is to operate...

I never use RadioTime.com on the PC. What's the point? If I'm on a PC, I just Google the station and use the station's own player. The few times I've used RadioTime.com on the PC, it just loads up the player anyway.

It's a different story on the smartphone apps. Those actually play through the RadioTime-equipped software (RadioTime, TuneIn, WunderRadio, etc.).

Speaking of which, they just updated TuneIn on the Android platform. It actually is quicker and seems to perform much better than the original version. I like it so much that I uninstalled RadioTime on my Droid, and use TuneIn (1.4?) instead. And I haven't seen any ads in the new version.

Didn't RadioTime buy up TuneIn or something? I thought I read an article about that.... StreamFinder just updated their website too, its much better and they let you post your own Widget...

Yes, they did. That's why I "switched", as the improved version of TuneIn hasn't made it to the Android version of RadioTime yet.

I don't know if they're even going to update the (paid) RadioTime app anymore, and I haven't seen any ads in the updated 1.4 version of TuneIn. The two programs have been identical in the Android version, except for the presence of ads in TuneIn.

I was unaware you could record from the PC side.

There are other programs that will record streaming audio.

But they are not free...

What are they? RadioTime on the PC has failed me for the last time. Worked fine yesterday, I restarted the PC, now it claims 'bad internet radio source'. All three PC's didn't record at all.... Woke up at 9AM to find out I missed three hours of show.

And I found a flaw in the app....apparently you can only store three full 4 hour shows and then it 'runs out of space'. Really hate it when things don't work....no one records S and T on PLJ, do they? :)
