Is it just me or has Raina Smith been taken off the air? I used to hear her with Ron and I haven't heard her in a few days. Maybe vacation? With the schedule changes, maybe they moved her to a different show. I know some time back there was a BIG rumor she was joining the Dan York show. Anybody got the scoop?
 
She's probably on at 6:53, 8:18 and 2:24 every Monday and Thursday. Also on at 11:22 and 5:39 every Friday. Then I think they put her on less when Buddy does all four hours and then more when Matt can't show up for his hour a day. Of course her schedule totally changes when Matt takes a day off and when Depetro goes on vacation. She can also be heard more when Buddy only does three hours a day and when Matt fills in for Ron for the 4th hour when Ron is out sick. ;)
 
Joint you're the one who started the Raina is joining the Dan Yorke show rumor.
Once we were all done laughing hysterically we made fun of you.
Don't you remember? ;)
Raina has never exhibited any talent for radio so I'm not really sure why she was ever hired to begin with.

Holland knows something... "ONE" Raina/Dan rumor would imply another. I heard another one a long time ago but didn't believe it because my source wasn't very reputable... should I be rethinking things Holland? Anyone else have thoughts?
 
Well I believe Dan York is happily married, so I am certain there is no love interest. I just heard they wanted to add a female to afternoons in order to soften him up. Dan can get kind of rough on people, especially the older folks. Raina just seems so nice. It might have made a nice balance.
 
If WPRO thinks he needs softening up that's what a PD is for. You don't bring someone onto the show who has an opposite type personality hoping it will rub off. That's like bringing your wife or girlfriend to a stag party hoping the guys will behave because she's around.
 
Watch the movie "Private Parts". Robin got fired at WNBC. Howard then went to bat for her and told his PD that he NEEDED Robin back. She was the voice of reason who would keep him calm. Yeah.... That worked out really well. Robin came back and Howard hasn't had a calm day since. LOL

I wouldn't want to spill a rumor unless I knew it was true. Too many people get their feelings hurt by people on this board who say things that aren't true and don't know what they're talking about and I don't feel much like being that person today. Or tomorrow. Like I said, my source isn't always so reputable. I had a hunch you heard the same thing I did and that's all there is too it. Since you seem to not know, it's probably not true. Feel free to tell me privately if I'm wrong.

I clicked on your site, saw the pic of Ann Colture (sp) and Adam Corolla. He doesn't let her speak. Swears , what 3 or 4 times. Some foolish woman calls her long face.

Adam is infamous for that toilet show he was on, with girls , a T and A show. He came off as a class less punk. Was that Air America? Do you think thats good radio? Walter.
 
she does have long face-looks like a skeleton too.


good to see the same ones who want to keep people off the radio now want to edit webpages.
 
Who the heck said I wanted ANYTHING edited?
It was CLASSLESS, thats all.
Can you imagine, if anyone ever did that to Hillary Clinton.
We'd never hear the end of it. Not very good radio, IN MY OPINION..
 
I'm sure that Raina Smith suffered the same fate has most other people who work in Radio. The corporate ofice calls the General Manager and tells them to get rid of the most useless person at the station. Then the GM has the PD do the dirty work for him. The end.
