Okay Radio kids,
Raise your hand if you've ever had a shi**y day in on-air radio
that made you want to walk out and never come back.
I mean a day that had you saying to yourself "why the hell am I
still in this business?"
Sheesh, someone throw me a violin and an emotional enema bag.

I lost count over 13 years time, and finally indeed had enough of them to get out of it. Took several tries before I escaped successfully though.

I was going to say the same thing. The trouble is the rest of the working world isn't much better (okay the money is better).

Before I ever got into radio I saw a whole staff get house cleaned so I knew what to expect. Turned out it worked out that way for me too.

The key to it all might be not to take it too seriously!

Once you get out it's funny. The things you and others at the station get obsessed with most of the outside world doesn't notice or care about.

If that's what you are talking about then I can really relate! Some days my timing was just off and the more I tried to pull the show out of the mess the worse it got. Just remind yourself that tomorrow is another day.

Also Congratulations, you are human, a living breathing person and not just a voice. I don't like perfect radio. If you can make fun of your mistakes so much the better! People can relate.

Just remember you are working at something you love to do (hopefully). Many people never get to do that.

Hang in there and have FUN!
