With a weak signal, was there even any reason to have jocks on the monkey? Sure they had a small following down in the south sound, but absolutely no numbers in metro seattle. Seems clear channel should either just play wall to wall music with no jocks, or spend the cash to upgrade the signal, do some advertising, hire jocks and go head to head against KISW, which is just kicking butt these days in the ratings.

Another example of the incredible and massive power of these media conglomerates and their masters, whether it be Phil Boyce, Gabe Hobbs, or Ken Beck. That's a real tragedy for 104.9 and Raizin et. al. and a loss for their fans in Seattle. Is the funky monkey changing formats, or did they just cancel the local hosts?
 
No ammount of cash in the world will upgrade 104.9. It is all it will ever be... Unless CC can pay off the CTRC to sign off a station on 104.9 in Vancouver and KDUX 104.7 moves to another frequency.

I can tell you the entire Puget Sound is in mourning today over the loss of Raizin.
