Raleigh Numbers

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. The comment was reported as a rumor. It was told to me by someone who MAY know what he's talking about. We'll know before long. Real movement could be 1/2 point in his mind.

I predict "significant movement" upward for 106.1 and downward for 101.5.

106.1 was down in August. 101.5 was flat.
No significant movement 25-54 from July to August for any station.

Soon, next month, all will be able to see the 6+ ratings on this site.

If you think 106.1 was "down in August" wait til you see where they go after November 2nd. Once the republicans get Congress back who will Beck and company have to bitch about?

Obama will still be president.

And how do you know the repubs will get control of congress? Despite right wing radio and TV, people aren't as stupid as you think....

As I mentioned previously in this thread, someone gave me some information that sounded legitimate at the time. Others here, as I understand it, say that there are no early peeks. For the record, I was told that NPR is first in 25+. WRDU is second. I really don't care, and don't shoot the messenger (again), I'm just curious to know whether this guy knows what he's talking about. In any case, it will be interesting to see the numbers.

To show my ignorance, how often are PPMs released? Is it a monthly thing now?

Some big drops from the last diary book and I would say a big win for WQDR. Congrats to them and WRAL for proving independents can still win in the world of corporate radio.

There's only thing you can say about WPTF that they have going for them: that they are still the highest-rated AM station in the Triangle. ::) Seriously, though... they're sinking like a rock... 2.6 to 2.4 and now to a 2.0. While Rush Radio keeps rising: 3.8 in the previous two periods to a 5.6! Not looking good for Curtis...

And to parrot Sniffthamic, it appears oldies is on the rise in Raleigh - but not from WKIX, which was flat at 0.9 - but from, of all places, Greenville, NC's WNCT-FM, which debuts in the Raleigh PPM with a 1.6!
