Randi Kirshbaum's 25th Anniversary

to note - 25 years ago (12/1), Randi Kirshbaum took over as midday host on 93.1 WMGX. 25 years later, she's still doing the radio thing, programming 93.1 and middays on WYNZ. by today's industry standards, that's 4 lifetimes.

i was doing evenings at WGAN then, and i recall hearing her on the air while on my way to work at Northport Plaza (evenings back then started at noon for production, then the airshift). made a quick call to the listener line to welcome her to town. having been a WBCN fan, she was no stranger to my ears.

well done and congratulations, Randi!

Indeed, that's MORE than four lifetimes. It's always great to see something like this, and thank you Chuck for pointing this out.

You, sir, are also approaching market legend status - albeit not on/in the same station/cluster as Randi has achieved. Take a bow yourself for your accomplishments, and congratulations to Ms. Kirshbaum!

I started toasting and 14 drinks later I couldn't remember why! After some profuse vomiting, a nap and a little hair-of-the-dog, it all came back to me.

Congrats Randi, here's to 25 more!

Cheers,
OldPort Wino
