It is being reported here that Randi is no longer on the Air America network:

So how will WWRL fill the void? Will they air whatever will replace Randi on AAR? Would they put Malzberg there? Or how about Stephanie Miller on delay tape (since her live slot of 9a-12n ET is virtually off-limits due to 'RL's infomercial/brokered block)?

I gave up on AAR a long time ago, and this is just another nail in the coffin. She's one of the only revenue-generating personalities.

As we suspected, Randi was hired by NovaM today. NovaM is the new liberal network from the original Air America folks. She's be on Larry King tonight at 9pm. (4/10/08)

cut/paste press release:

The Nova M Radio Network is thrilled to announce the addition of “The Randi Rhodes Show” to its nationally syndicated talent offerings beginning this Monday, April 14, 2008.

Randi Rhodes is the #1 rated progressive talk radio host in the nation.

Nova M CEO John Manzo says, “I just can’t stop smiling - Randi is simply the biggest and the best. Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy under one roof – talk about TALENT!”

Randi Rhodes adds, “With Manzo at helm of Nova M, I am truly going to work for the best of the best. He is radio elite…and I am too <laughs>. I’m home, I’m home, I’m home!”

“The Randi Rhodes Show” will air live Mon-Fri from 3-6pm Eastern on The Nova M Radio Network.

As a conservative, it's very nice to see a Liberal Talk network around with a real business model to compete on the airwaves... Good luck to Nova...
Some competition might help Conservative Talk networks ry to bring in new talent to compete with some of the generic stalwarts...

The other good thing about a successful Liberal talk network or two would be the potential end of "Fairness Docrtine" whining from The Left as we watch all the good talkers form all sides compete.

AAR has been on life support for to long, Rhodes did herself a huge favor by exiting that situation.
