Randi Rhodes to return to WJNO

According to the Air America Radio website, Randi Rhodes and Air America are parting ways and she will return to WJNO; also the station in San Francisco, that sponsered the event where she dropped the "f" word bomb indicates that they will continue to air Randi Rhodes.

On the WJNO website blog, there is speculation that she could return to the air as early as Monday the 14th of April.

yawn!!!

zzzzzzz

I guess that was pretty boring; maybe the moderators will award me with the most boring post of the 21st century! :)

No post is a boring one my friend. We are all here to inform each other on the ongoings of Radio and TV and to form different opinions whether we agree or disagree ;)

Thanks for the kind words DJ Tony; I still think I might get a citation from the moderator(s) though!! :)

Seriously, I have learned a lot from reading other people's posts; there are some very intelligent and helpful people on this list.

It is interesting that both Randi and Neil Rogers are free agents. I wonder if the Sirius and XM merger will affect things?

lol, why would you? like I said, no post is boring ;)

Randi is returning Monday afternoon. She is doing her show from the WJNO studio in West Palm Beach and it will be uploaded to the network.

Good to see Randi will continue.
We need a voice like her to counter the Right Wing Wacko's that is on the air everywhere else.

What does that merger have to do with any of this?

And Randi's with Nova M now.

It carries some importance. Mike Malloy's show airs on XM 167, a channel branded as 'Air America Radio', but also hosting the shows of Bill Press and Ed Schultz. Rhodes' show aired as part of the AAR family, but it's now it's part of the Nova M family.

Assuming XM will still carry the show (which isn't a given, despite Rhodes' same 3-6pm ET live timeslot), that would mean the AAR channel carries that much less AAR programming. She could be bumped for the new AAR replacement--it all probably depends upon contractual obligations.

Yeah they've been chipping away at AAR shows as they're getting fired or leaving AAR, but a lot of stations call themselves Air America when they're not all AAR programs. I don't see how that relates to the satellite merger.

Hey, anyone know if Nova M. Radio actually OWNS her show now? Or just distributes it?
