Random play vs. list order play

After experiencing over a month of RANDOM play on 4 playlists, I'm not very impressed.

The robot or whatever seems to overplay several tracks in each. I've switched an oldies and a light playlist to ORDER PLAY and it seems to be working better. I guess you just need to mix up the tracks every so often.

Now I'm even testing the HEAVY and STANDARD playlists in order play......which brings up this thread.

As long as the robot jumps between playlists and you mix them up occasionally (2 or 3x a week???) do you think the order play might work better? At least certain songs the robot likes don't get overplayed.

YES. Does playlist length have anything to do with it? It's their autoDJ I guess, which seems to concentrate on several tracks and overplay them while underplaying others.

The list play will play all tracks in order, and doesn't overplay, but you need to mix them up occasionally.

Centova used to be the best but now is becoming obsolete. To help you, we would have to spend a couple of hours on Skype or Teamview. Centova is so much work and takes a while to understand and master. I recommend dropping this old technology. It used to take me hours to set up Centova, then hours every week to schedule my content for a professional sounding station. Not to mention the fact that every new audio file I uploaded had to be converted to MP3 and run through normalizer software so that the volume of all the files were consistent.
There are new platforms available now that will make your life so easy. For example Airtime and my company's platform. They are just calender based and you click on the spot on the calender you want to schedule your content. Airtime is open source and still has some bugs. My company has perfected this platform and works flawlessly. I promise if you try these platforms, you will never use Centova again. You can even try my company's for free to find out how easy it is. It just takes me minutes to schedule a whole month now. Here is a link to test drive the platorm: http://www.radiojar.com/?a_aid=jhs. I promise after this experience you will curse Centova. LOL.

I've actually like it and think most of it is good and easy. It's just the autodj overplaying certain songs it likes that gets under my skin.
