Random Thoughts: WGTM WCPS WLLY

According to an FCC post, WGTM's plant was vandalized for scrap metal around Halloween. That makes me sick to my stomach. However, the system really needed rebuilding, so hopefully Mrs. Willis-Shaw had insurance.

WCPS sounds gooood in FM Stereo around Tarboro/Rocky Mount. Live and Local soul music. I love it!

WLLY's preaching and southern gospel music is now heard on WLNR(WISP) Kinston and WSRP(WLAS) Jacksonville. WLLN Lillington is still silent.

Does WCPS now have an FM repeater? If so, that is really great, as WCPS is a station with loads of potential. As an AM, they do, at least scratch paper on the ARB. Also, as you said, with local programming, regional music (Southern Soul)...there is so much that can be done with that station.

I found an article regarding the 105.3 His Radio (or former His Radio) translator. What do they do on the frequency at night, as 760 is a Daytime frequency?

the WCPS translator is taken directly off the air, so it sounds like a AM on FM...the translator is also in rocky mount - it dosent put a signal into tarboro, and according to its transmitter coordinates, looks like its at someones house.
