Randy and Spiff!

"I heard from a reliable source that Randy and Spiff have been
talking to a station in Chicago and may be leaving Atlanta after
the first of the year"

I don't know how reliable your source is but with "Ed the Mechanic," gone, the show will never be the same. Randy and Spiff are two talented gentlemen. They've brightened the Atlanta airwaves for the better part of two decades. They made listening to Fox 97 fun and they are IMHO a great improvement over Gene and Julie at Lite. They can be proud of the fact they've had a good run in this market, even with sometimes mediocre ratings. Like Lewis Grizzard, they may find the harsh Chicago winters more than they can bear and yearn for their days in Charlotte and Atlanta.

Where would they go? There is no Oldies station anymore, the Lite station has a fairly successful morning show and Johnny B just came back to town. The only option is WILV which plays love songs (yuk!). They have a morning guy but I doubt they would dump him for Randy and Spiff. Maybe they are talking to a suburban station or are using it as a contract ploy.<P ID="signature">______________
