Randy Fox Leaves WJERAM

Can anyone here confirm that Randy Fox has left WJERAM?
I've received several unconfirmed stories that Randy Fox has officially 'retired' from WJERAM..... ???

I heard that as well. The version I heard is that Randy was upset because he wasn't being allowed to take vacation time while another staffer was handling outside job (WJER) commitments.

In the process of changing locks (which seems to happen a lot at that station for some reason) because someone lost their keys, the GM called Randy to tell him that he was going to drop off a new key at Randy's place and Randy said, "Don't bother" and hung up on the GM.

If this is true, it's sad because Randy is a great guy.

I agree, Randy is a class act.
I wish him the best of luck; Perhaps he can get a broadcasting job in the Canton area...
In regards to management at WJER I see nothing has changed....LOL :D

After thirty plus years of service at WJER/1450 in Dover, Randy Fox has left the building.
According to our sources, Fox and management disagreed over a scheduled vacation day.

We spoke with several folks on the Boulevard in Dover today who described the situation as “unreal”. Thirty years is a long time and I’m sure they are shell-shocked. More on Randy is on the WJER website.

I don't see Randy coming back to WJER after this event; I'm sure it was alot more than a scheduled vacation day that caused his departure. You can only put up with so much managerial B.S....

I certainly hope that Randy hasn't left WJERAM. I agree that he's a class act. WJERAM needs someone like Randy. No ego, easy on the ears, and able to handle anything that's thrown his way. Best of luck to Randy! I know that the past few years at WJER haven't been easy for him.

Well it's been at least a month now...Still no Randy ???
They still have his bio on WJER's website, but I'm not sure why...
I agree with you...They need Randy back! I can only take so much of Bill's voice!

It takes a bit of time to get things updated on the 'JER website. Several months passed before the FM rate card was removed from the sales information. Last time I looked there is still references to the FM operation on the site's FAQ.

Speaking of the FM side, any more ramblings about GAP going after the Natoli owned WNPQ stick, or any other FM properties for that matter?

After all, GAP remains owner of the former WJER-FM tower site overlooking I/77.

I was passing through the area recently and tuned in. I heard a commercial promoting the news team awards and it referred to "our very own" Amanda Robins. Didn't she leave long before Randy Fox?
So it is no surprise that Randy is still on the website.
Maybe if you look closely at the website you will even see the Bob Jacobs page?
