Randy Michaels: Gem or Blemish?

OVI? I had to Google it. I hope we're talking about Operating a Vehicle while Impaired. Some of the other things that came up must be from the Urban Dictionary.

This ain't a small thing in Ohio. "If charged with a 1st Offense OVI (DUI), the Court can allow you to participate in a 72 hour (3 Day) "Alcohol" Intervention Program in lieu of a 3 day mandatory jail sentence." My guess is that he already lawyered up. If not, he will.

That was worth it just to see his real name, Benjamin Homel...

I can be such a child sometimes.

The GM who hired me at my current station ooh-so-long-ago, the one who finally got the Fields to open up the pursestrings, was Randy's GSM at the Power Pig in Tampa.

One of his better pictures. Probably look good on his Facebook page.

Seriously. He's damn lucky he didn't harm himself or worse, somebody else. DWI or OVI isn't funny.

Agree, but keep in mind that the legal expenses are pocket change for him -- the cost of "doing business".

$10,000 is now the estimated cost of fighting a first-time DWI offense, at least in this area:

Isn't it comforting to know that fine, upstanding citizen Bill Cunningham bailed him out?

And I suppose you'd just leave your friends in jail?
Yeah, probably. But Freebird's point was Cunningham, a WLW radio talk show host, a Tribune TV host and attorney, bailed out the guy who hired him.
