Raspberry Pi and an Optimod

I don't believe this is possible, but has anyone had any success connecting a Raspberry Pi "device" to an Optimod 8200, 8400 or 8500? The Raspberry runs Linux so I don't believe the software will run. But, this is a creative/resourceful group and maybe someone has a trick to make this work.

I believe the remote control software is only windoze compatible. Maybe Bob Orban will chime in.

Looking in to this a little bit, it appears that Raspberry Pi wont do this. But this little box should!

You might be able to run the Linux version of Oracle (formerly Sun) VirtualBox (aka vBox) server on the Raz, and run XP in a client window. I'm sure the server would work, but then installing XP in a client might overtax the Raz. HOWEVER, if you could snag a copy of Windows CE somewhere (the stripped down version of XP for embedded devices), that might be light enough for the Raz, but still enough ti run the Orban client - assuming all the necessary API libraries were included in the build of WinCE that you got.

Right now the ISO of Norton Ghost is booted into it and saving an image of the virtual disk image (VDI) so I can slap it on the logger and not have iot down for days while it installs and runs 48 hours of Microsoft Updates.

Interesting approach... How do you filter out the driver's for the virtual devices when you reimage? I do something similar, but use a regular PC and SysPrep to 'generalize' it prior to installing on the target box.
