Rather NBC

Currently Dan Rather is on MSNBC. Not sure if that will be for all day coverage of election day or not. Just thought I would metion this.

Even former Fox News personality Major Garrett has turned up on MSNBC recently.

You choose the punch line:

"I hope his spot doesn't follow U.S. Open Tennis coverage...it always runs long."

"Is he wearing his Gunga Dan costume?"

"Don't let anyone named "Kenneth" into the studio!"

Had he been appearing on PBS, would he be using his alias "Dan Rather-Not"? ;D

Partisan stupidity aside, its not Dan Rather's first appearance on MSNBC--he was one of the guests brought in for in-studio coverage when news first broke of Walter Cronkite's death. IIRC, he was specifically interviewed for several segments during The Rachel Maddow Show.

He's not under contract from a large media outlet (of which I wouldn't count HDNet), which is probably why he's allowed guest appearances on MSNBC, The Chris Matthews Show (for NBC stations), or any other program that'd invite him.

As I don't normally watch MSNBC I don't know where to tune. So my question for Dan, who would want me to watch is an obvious ...

"What's the frequency Kenneth?"

I don't really miss Dan Rather, but I do miss his little funny descriptions such as "This race it locked up tighter than the rusty lug nuts on a '55 Ford"

+1 :D

Having lived in Texas, I can say that Dan Rather is true to his roots!
