Radio itself is in a state of flux. There doesn't seem to be a direction - except away from the AM signal. Internet listening is not the answer, yet. I have WiFi in my cab, but as far as iheartradio, the option is not an alternative as the internet is not tight enough for drop-free listening.
Since the "upgrade" of the 970 signal, some 12 years ago, the station does not come in as strong as it used to. 1450 complemented the deficiency, but that went away after some purposeful "souring of the milk" with technical problems only a 5 year old would have less competency. Couple the degradation of the signal with more electrical interference, and only people, such as myself, will listen - for now.
The 105.9 translator, while a fine marketing agreement for the church, was a slap in the face to the meaning of radio. It is NOT developing the largest audience with the signal, it is creating a micro-market niche alienating the rest of the Market.
