Here are the latest ratings in order (no numbers0 just who made what and where and their is a couple of big shockers here in this one.

1. WOKV (improved but falled a bit)
2. WJBT (improving nicely)
3. WSOL (falling a bit but still hangs)
4. WQIK (has fallen fast in nine months)
T5. WAPE (improved nicely)
T5. WEJZ (fell just a notch)
7. WJGL (yeah top 5 hanging around doesn't last when the playlist is not freshened up every so often)
8. WFYV (took a big hit in the numbers)
9. WFKS (gaining a little bit)
10. WPLA (gaining ground and will do so with the swap)
11. WMXQ (improving. this may hang around for a long while and we predict death way to early with numbers nicely improving. New PD knows what he is doing)
12. WBGB (improving slightly but not to levels they use to be at)
13. WZAZ (the shocker here is they improved and they are on AM. must got a strong core listnership out there)
14. WJSJ/WSJF (rebound greatly since the summer book. Someone new take over???)
15. WGNE (offically becomes a player in the country music stations in this book as they can declare to have knocken off WROO in this book. Now the second rated country station in Jacksonville)
16. WKQL (improved slightly and the christmas music was not on yet. We will have to wait for the Winter 06 book to see if the the christmas music did anything to improve ratings)
17. WFXJ (will we see a hit soon since they lost Mike Dempsey?? It will be two books before we know)
18. WROO (took a hit big time again, as what I mean look at how they did in Winter 05, then look at Spring 05 as they fell sharply, then Sum 05 they improved nicely and now Fall 05 they took the big hit again and this is before the signal swap. Look for them to fall below the top 20 in the next couple of books or even the next book. WGNE has put death on them and a format flip may I suggest is needed????)
19. WCGL (improved nicely over the last book)

Christmas music did nothing for WKQL- Phase 3 was their lowest of the fall book.

And (I hate to bring this up in the same post) but WROO got biffed in one phase- WGNE's three months (in order) were in the 3s, in the 2s and in the 1s. They are headed in the wrong direction for Oct/Nov/Dec.

I think that's all the result of the Gator coming on strong.

Seriously, why is ROO in the protection mode? That move
surprises me. If it was Citadel or Cox, I could understand
it, but CC?

Re: Jax

OldiesCat how do you figure this out??? One when a station like WGNE gets out everywhere including concerts (especially the free ones) and other events in the area people start to take notice. When they did the free gas give away with Shell in December people noticed the station out there. I do not know how you get where they went 3 2 or 1. If you reveal the exact numbers there could be problems. There is no way that Gator could have done that and also where you are saying christmas music did nothing for WKQL is that because it does not effect this book, it effects the next one. Wake up and look at the book were in before you start chewing me out on this board. Thank you have a nice day OldiesCat and if you got nothing nice to say on the board and then please leave it to be unless we can all agree but I do not agree with you.

Christmas music affects the Fall book. The dates for the fall book are 9/22-12/14. The winter book began on 1/5.

Re: Right you are Sir

Great observations Oldies Cat. If doesn't appear it was that great a country book. Take Boomer and Robbie's numbers out of QIK and that station is in trouble too. Back to Mburg's friends, what happened to that big move in for WSOS? According to what I've seen they were a no show. Sorry Mburg, another sore subject!

I'm Quietly signing off now, so as not to step on any more young toes,

considering the book ended on 12/12 and WQKL didn't switch until 12/13 ddi you expect huge numbers

Jax

Their monthly trends: October they were in the 3s, November in the 2s and
their December 25-54 share was in the 1s. This isn't OPINION, it's hard fact, right from Arbitron, the measuring stick for all of us.

I don't believe the "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" line of bull. You paint the picture as if the two Rendas are about to explode and all I've done is factually point out that it isn't the case.

If you can't handle the heat, please get out of the kitchen.
