Ratings Are Out!

Anyone want to discuss the ratings...There are a few of you out there who are eating a big sandwich today I am sure....anyone want to actually start this discussion?

Sure.

WQIK still strong #1. Eagle's 12+ is down but their 25-54 is top 4. WKQL was #15
25-54 adults below a 2 share- WGNE's decent(still below a 3 share) June seemed to affect WROO (however, even with their previous Daytona signal they'd spike occasionally- if it sticks, great for them but it's very early in the game).

The Christian station (WBGB) was top 8 25-54, a good showing. The Point is still struggling (mostly thanks to sis station WJGL).

That's how it looks so far.

Well, great. 8/1/05 - A day we have all looked forward to! Now can we
hear how Renda has kicked everybody's butt for the next month? I'll start, do any two posters in particular feel as excited as I do about one Oldies station and one Country stations impressive showing? Does anyone think CC is thinking of getting out of the market (or the radio business)because of this competition? How did Jacksonville survive before this fierce radio battle that is brewing? Maybe they better do something with that Lite station they also own. I think it's getting flanked by The Gator. Overall, probably the best numbers for Renda in at least a month. This promises to be a summer catfight.
Thanks.

OMG

If they had, you could. They did not. Gator did OK for 4 weeks and WKQL is still a long way from any whiff of competing, much less proclaiming any sort of victory. Even looking (as you apparently have) at 12+ numbers, you know the old saying:
"one trend or even an entire book does not a success story make".

Please wake up from your dream (also known as our nightmare). <LOL>

OC:

You, of all people, should recognize my statements as "satire." It
is also a nightmare for anyone not poisoned by the water (or
smoking something) in Jacksonville to see two (now 2-1/2 or 3)
posters grasping at straws. It is eye-opening. I find the fact that we
have 200+ posts on two stations with virtually ZERO ratings
taking up what was a pretty decent board to be amazing. And ---
yet addictive in it's own little way. Please re-read my previous
overview again and see it from your viewpoint as well as mine. They
should be the same.

And, yes --- we are starting to HEAR how The Gator is kicking butt,
from the three princes just like I said we would. BUT, I didn't say it was,
nor will I. Nor will I attempt to apply logic to the cause.

Go check out the Alabama board on WRAX and help us out there.

Fiannly, I have checked my grammar hrre sa whale.

Keep the postings going! This really is fun. That, I mean. Seriously.

having re-read you,

I get your drift. I thought you might have sipped the kool aid and joined the "rah rah Renda" club (God forbid).
