Ratings question...

Did anyone notice who was number one mornings 18-34 for Feb? I thought it would have been more of a topic. I was a little surprised. Major?

What is so odd? WPOW, WAMR and WHYI (which had an abnormally good discreet February) and then WEDR and WBGG.

WHYI was number one -persons 18-34. Not bad for a relatively new show that replaced a legend.

You are using an extrapolated Phase II indivisual month, which is neither a trend nor a book. The Trend shows #1 to be WPOW, followed by WAMR and then WHYI.

Gee, thanks for the ratings lesson, but I am well aware of the numbers as you are. The Zoo was number 1 for the month and #3 for the trend. All of that still makes my point. They started at #17! So again I say, not bad for a new show.

I've been away from the board for the past several weeks working on some other projects, so I'm just now catching up in here.

Y-100 has made a complete turnaround since bottoming out last year. Not only is 'Elvis Duran & The Morning Zoo' at (or approaching) # 1 - depending on how you interpret the data - but Y-100 is now a TOP 10 station overall in the latest Winter trend. They are also the # 7 station among English-speakers, and they are now Clear Channel's # 2 station overall (behind 'LOVE'). They are also way up in the West Palm Beach market.

Y-100 sounds modern and fresh, so they deserve their rejuvenated success. I love the new 'Morning Zoo' spots that are now airing on local television. It's the first time that I've seen Y-100 promoted on TV in many years. Of course now they actually have a fine quality product that is worthy of spending advertising bucks to promote - a morning show that is consistently building its audience some 11 months after its debut here in this market. An increasingly popular morning show has resulted in a rejuvenated overall radio station.
