Winners, WBZ,WJMN,WODS.....Losers, 30 mil get you nothing WAAF,ESPN, and Awful Mike.

Ah that's right, they came out late yesterday. Again these are 12 plus and prob not as important as the 25-54s
we don't get to see.

WBZ and Jamn94.5 up top, and WODS is in third (strong!). WRKO is almost a point higher than 96.9 and note
how well WCRB is doing even at the new freq (these are at http://www.radioandrecords.com
click Ratings then Boston)...WBCN still so-so and Mike even worse.

WJIB ("higher ratings means much higher royalty fees") with perhaps its highest ratings ever. ESPN Boston does
show up while WWZN as usual does not. And the former prog talk stations, now Rumba, do not show up

WILD is billed as gospel but aren't they really mostly talk during weekdays?

The ratings of WKLB and WCRB, who switched freqs on Dec 1, are roughly the same, and both fairly good.
Rimshotters from NH and Worcester show up. No WCRN but will addition of Red Sox and bigger night
signal (as of last night) make them show up next time?

Speaking of rim-shotters, it seems a bit remarkable that WBOQ-FM 104.9 is a no-show, considering the FM's from NH and New Bedfors that make it. I wonder how they're doing on the North Shore and SE NH.

I notice that WBZ had the greatest fall off, year to year, of any station (-.7) which makes me think the W2006 book was a fluke since everthing since is pretty flat in the mid 6s.

WRKO had a fall bump due to the election (which it traditionally has, and should have) but the recent changes certainly don't seem to be having a negative effect. When you look at the seasonal 'bump' that WEEI got from the Sox in 2006, WRKO could be the big winner for the next three books, especially with its anemic evening and weekend ratings getting a boost. Regardless, Entercom's big AMs look like they have it made for quite a while. Their FMs look like they are going to need an 'intervention' :)

And, you're right. These numbers certainly aren't going to get WCRB to change what it is currently doing.

Regards,
TSB

Remember that these published ratings only show stations that achieve 0.4 or better. WBOQ has often previously shown up around 0.4 or 0.5. They may have just dropped down to 0.3, and then they wouldn't be shown in this published list.

Also, the NH and New Bedford stations listed are Class B's and actually cover a lot more ground in the market than WBOQ, and they can even be heard in Boston proper on good receivers, including most good car stereos. WBOQ can't be heard in most of Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, etc... because of co-channel WRBB at Northeastern U.
