I could care less about My. I am interested in how CW does once "Veronica Mars" and a couple of others start for the season.

It looks like CBS is off to a great start with six of the top ten. I guess police dramas are here to stay, and CBS isn't just the "old folks network" anymore. Thanks for posting that info.

It looks like the CBS Monday night lineup with How I Met Your Mother,The Class, and The New Adventures Of Old Christine didn't make the top 20 with the exception of Two And A Half Men and CSI: Miami

How did The Class,How I Met Your Mother,The New Adventures Of Old Christine do overall in the ratings?

Man who cares bout ratings just watch your show and enjoy it.

It also looks like that NBC's dominace of Thursday night is over with since Grey's Anatomy is surprising everyone on Thursday night on ABC.

The Class and How I Met Your Mother tied for 38th, each with
10.5 million viewers, and second in their time slots (8 and 8:30
Monday). Christine ranked 26th, with 12 million viewers, and
won 9:30. Those 8 and 8:30 shows may have a rough ride against
Deal Or No Deal.

And by the way, if the ratings for your favorite show don't stay up,
that show isn't going to be around long.

It was mixed news for The CW. 7th Heaven and Gilmore Girls opened their seasons with year-to-year decreases from their performances on The WB one year ago, and Runaway is DOA. On the other hand, the premiere of America's Next Top Model improved on its previous season opener on UPN.

It's too early to tell if the merger of two weak "netlets" will make a stronger fifth-place network. From early numbers, it doesn't look promising.

Well, considering that 7th Heaven aired its SERIES FINALE at the end of last season, how much longer will it last anyways?

How did NBC's "Kidnapped" do? I thought it looked promising, but when I watched it the show wasn't very good in my opinion. I wasn't sure about how Grey's Anatomy would do in a new timeslot, but of course it really excelled. I wonder how many viewers they picked up with the Super Bowl show? Desperate Housewives has Marc Cherry again writing, I think that will spark the show up again.

CSI: NY buried Kidnapped. Kidnapped managed
only 7.8 million viewers and ranked 58th.

NBC might have been better off leaving Law &
Order on Wednesdays at 10; in its new Friday
slot it lost to Numb3rs, though not by much;
Numb3rs had 11.4 million viewers and ranked
32nd; L&O had 11.1 million viewers and ranked
34th. The big loser on Friday at 10 was 20/20
(7.5 million viewers, tied for 59th with Bones).

And re Thursday: that night has been CBS's
at least since Friends has been gone; Survivor
and CSI have been consistent timeslot winners,
and CSI has been number one, or close to it,
for years. But this year may be the first time
since Mork & Mindy, Barney Miller, Soap, and 20/20
gave ABC Thursday nights--in the late '70s--that ABC
could end up winning the night.

Just wondering did the WB generally have stronger affiliates than UPN? If so will transend into better ratings for UPN programs now on CW, since I'm assuming the CW will be on the stronger station of the former UPN or WB station

Most of the Tribune-owned WB affiliates were stronger performers than their UPN counterparts. However, The CW did not get the "stronger" station in some of the markets, thanks in part to Raycom and Sinclair's early deals with MyNetworkTV. In the markets in which Sinclair now owns a CW/MNT duopoly, only in Las Vegas and Nashville did they place MNT on the more successful station.

In the case of Philadelphia, wasn't then-WB channel 17 stronger than then-UPN channel 57? (Channel 17 is now My and channel 57 is CW.)

Here in Hartford/New Haven, I think WTXX-TV channel 20 of Waterbury/Hartford, who went from WB to CW, only survived because Tribune was/is running the station as a "sister" to WTIC-TV (FOX) channel 61 of Hartford.
