Are you concerned non subscribers will use these "posted" numbers? If so, it is my experience they always have and always will. I used to share numbers with 2 non subscribers when I owned the stations.
But, then again, in those days the non subscribers weren't beating or tying Mix and Star in key demos!

On a radio ratings topic, how many more years will it take someone within CC to realize that a network sports radio format in a small market just does not work. You have WENE sitting atop of Pierce Hill Rd with a wonderful 5K non-dir D and 5K dir N signal being wasted on FSR and Yankee games. Major markets, WFAN or KFAN or XTRA with local sports announcers with local interviews, you can pull respectable numbers. I'd be interested in the billables at WENE. I hope they are not paying for the priviledge of operating their fairly new transmitter.

Well, nowadays, AM stations barely get sold no matter what the format. The only reason WNBF makes any money is because the have a salesperson that focuses on it and that is perrenially a top station in the market. The best thing they can do is go after a niche with as little expense as possible, which is what they are doing now, and hope to use it as an add-on in buys. It will be tough to fathom either company putting much focuses on AM's when they don't really sell.
I posted this further down the board but I wanted to post it here also to make sure everyone saw it because I would love feedback on it....
When Wild first signed on, the first year-and-half maybe, they were much more rhythmic-leaning and they pulled some pretty big numbers despite having the smallest signal in the market. The ratings went down once management tried to do what they thought was "feminizing" the station for advertising purposes. It's clearly a hot AC during the day, especially in the morning. A rhythmic CHR station would not be playing Creed - Sheryl Crow - Dave Mathews Band - Green Day "Time Of Your Life" consecutively and that is what they are doing. The dip in ratings pretty much corrolates with the change in music philosophy. Now they are trying to fight for the same piece of demographic pie as Star, Mix, and LTB and without a doubt those stations are much better at doing AC and Hot AC. This book told a huge story about Wild if my info is correct, and I am pretty sure that it is. Pretty much 6am-5pm was down during the "Creed-Nickelback-Dave Mathews-Sheryl Crow" part of the day and the numbers went up considerably as it got closer to nighttime when the rhythmic records started playing and it went from a Hot AC to an actual CHR. And no, not a "Rhythmic" CHR. You old timers hear anything resembling a black record and it's "urban". That's why Missy Elliot's "Lose Control" is #9 on the top forty charts and wild barely plays it at night. Their night guy, who is very new to radio and nights by the way, cleaned up at night. You people need to wake up to the 21st century. You people are gonna be left in the dust and radio like it is today is gonna be a thing of the past because people like you guys on this site can't stop living in the past.
