Well,

I thought the north fl board would be buzzing with discussions about ratings?

Ratings (yawn!)

OK:

WMXQ- great trend. And, Rooster seemed to bounce back somewhat.

That's about it.

You're right. I'm disappointed! However, there are some highlights that you need to dig into the trends to see. Here are just a few:

In 18-34, WFKS has once again beat WAPE in morning drive. This seems to be a trend that has been going on for quite some time.

WKQL is flat in morning drive (25-54) and ranks 14th in that demo. No growth. Not good.

Lex & Terry are down about 3 shares in the morning 18-34 and about 2 shares 25-54.

The Promise lost almost 50% of their 25-54 in July after 6 solid months of increases. Heather White made her debut in July. Interesting.

And yes, the rest is pretty boring.

Re: (yawn!)

OldiesCat, what got up your sleve? It seems to me that no matter what you are a Renda hatter and would rather listen to CC. Gator had a good July no matter even with the BS that CC pulled on them. The listners stuck by them through thick and thin during the ordeal. Gator will kick butt by end of the year. And did I hear correctly that the Concert Series drew over 10,000 people between four concerts. That is more then Rooster will have when Phil (what ever his last name is) comes to Freebird Live. That is just lame.

Also take this: Tim Rushlow (I hope I spelled his last name right) called Dallas and Dixie yesterday and was coming down today to help collect supplies for Hurricane Katrina victims then is going to the Bourbon Street Station to play for tips and bartend (celebrity style) with all of the money going to the relief fund. Have not heard one thing that CC is doing. Renda cares about the community and supports us and I will stand by a company that does that. Even they care what is played on our airwaves.

what is your response

Since when do people listen to the radio based on what company owns them, rather than on the individual merit of the station itself? Just so you understand Mburg, most of us would agree that each major owner (Clear Channel, Renda and Cox)have stations that are really good, okay or really bad. Check your car radio buttons and I'll bet you have at least one button from each of these owners. Right?

Re: (yawn!)

Nothing up my sleeve- just a distant (somewhat informed) observer. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black-- no mater how they suck, you see them as kickin' ass & takin' names.

Get real and look at the proof so far. WGNE had less than a 1.5 share 25-54 in this trend, good for 19th in this key adult demo. An Amber Alert gets at least a 2 share.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.
