Oh, about a year or so before Kat. We had to replace the original FM antenna, and to meet the loading requirements for the new, much-higher-power (and thus heavier) antenna, we had to let 105.3 join the party. If you notice their ERP is now 96K, since they are ever-so-slightly over height for a C1. They still went up about 150', and IMO got a better signal out of the deal. It took a while, because 32 was fiddling around too, and the tower, guy wires and anchors were being beefed up. Must have worked, because everything above the building survived The Storm nicely. As for the building and contents -- not so much.
From reading their STA, I think WNOE is on the old 105.3 backup at about 600' (on the same tower). Note sure where 105.3 is, I suspect is it on the 101.9 backup antenna on the LodeStar/SpectraSite/ATC tower, the one that they used post-Kat.
Backup sites are handy. I'm only sorry that they apparently had to let the original 101.1 antenna site go (another abandoned building). When NOE was on it during the Bayou Bienvenue re-work, I used to stand on the rooftop of 225 Baronne and marvel that it was the same antenna from which I used to listen to rock 101NOE up in Jackson, MS.
