They tied 98 Rock for the biggest gains this book. Looks like the Point had the biggest loss.

Rays also appear to be helping 620.
 
What's shocking to me is that besides The Dove, the top station has a 5 share. I remember 15-20 years ago stations like Q105 and WQYK were in double digits. I remember when Q105 fired everyone and changed their format when they went down to an 8.8 share! Now stations are happy to get by with a 5.
 
I thought Spanish language programming on an FM would easily be top 10 in Tampa Bay. What is CBS doing wrong on 92.5?
 
92.5 would be easy to fix. The demographics of Tampa Bay's Latino audience skew older, begging for a more romantic flavor to THEIR radio station. La Maxima is trying to be the Hispanic version of Wild 98.7 in an area that doesn't have the hip younger listeners like Miami. Hispanics tend to be extremely supportive of radio; so this is an opportunity for CBS to cash in on a softer La Romantica format.
 
Looks like WXTB's shift toward more Classic Rock may be working. More surprising is that The Eagle is still on the rise. Nothing's changed over there in ages....same short playlist, same "New Eagle" imaging.....
 
Actually 102.5 's numbers were flat... looks like the 18-34 sample was different ethnically than in past books, as two of the larger declines were 95.7 the Beat and Spanish on 92.5. The Point also had a big drop, but those people probably accounted in part for the increases at Q105 and Eagle.
 
Actually, I have noticed the Eagle seems to have opened up the playlist just a tiny bit... more 80s classic hits. What's interesting is Magic is just in the middle of the pack. Is the success of the Eagle and Q-105 bringing down Magic?
 
I don't want to open old stuff, but I think Q105 sounds really good and could hold it's own with KRTH or WCBS. The DJ patter works with the music and you definitely can tell them apart from the Eagle, even if they are both "classic hits"
