RATINGS!!

question? is it the first time a non-commercial collage station has showed up i agree the best chr everybody is sick and tired of listening to the blah blah on commericial radio bad morning show jokes and so on

Very good performance for WRVO-WRVD. It's no surprise to people in the business because Arbitron reports include non-commercial stations' ratings. Persons 12+ reports in public forums rarely show this information. Public radio, especially NPR stations perform well in many markets, including many major markets. The ratings for WAQX look anemic. Ed's probably not pleased with his TK or KRL combos. Curious. How much difference between Eastlan 12+ and Arbtron 12+?

Yes, non-comm does do pretty well. Z should be proud to show up, but you have to wonder what would happen if they used that frequency for something unique ala a XPN in Philadelphia which consistently gets about a 2 share?

A friend of mine at CC tells me the numbers actually match up pretty closely to the Arbs.

As far as TK goes. The 12 plus looks ok, but I would think that only tells part of the story. Looking at the top, they are the only real "male" station there, which most likely means their male numbers are quite high, and that is what they would be looking to do.

As far as Krock, I would think they only have one job. Beat WAQX. They clearly did that, with X looking pathetic in these numbers.

I hope they keep showing these. I will be nice to see how the changes in the market over the last week show up in the next book!

The thing I like about Z89 is its music and imaging the best. I mean, take a listen to their music. It's non-repetitive, they add remixes of songs. They don't just stick to the "chart".

Imaging is AWESOME for a CHR. Plus, hearing jingles is definitely refreshing. 90 seconds of PSAs and then back to 20 in a row. Can't beat that.
