OK, that makes sense. There IS a requirement for TV receivers to include UHF. It just surprises me when someone who clearly knows what they're talking about suddenly comes up with a shocker like that! No harm, no foul.

Can I just say....who really cares? Bill....It totally would not surprise me if the FCC did require FM on receivers at some point, stranger things have happened.
The point is....to get back to some original discussion and not petty nonsense....that it really doesn't matter if HD radio has listeners or not right now.....or is required someday to make every station upgrade to HD.....or totally bombs or catches on....or whatever. New technology is what it is....we in radio have seen it come and go....and we get it.
