Rumors have by flying about 1360 being bought out soon. Kelly just made reference to it on her show so it must be true. can anyone confirm this to be true? I heard the station is will be gone by the beginning of the year.

I don't believe it. Stations with such powerful signals, compelling programing, and powerhouse ratings don't simply vanish overnight. ;D

KMNY is owned by Multicultural (http://www.mrbi.net/radiogroup.htm), who also owns KDFT 540. The stations they own across the country generally just lease out the airtime. Rational leases the airtime on KMNY; they don't own the station.

Not according to this: Rational Broadcasting

8701 John Carpenter Fwy, Suite 205
Dallas, TX 75247

Looks like it's at 183 and Reagal Row..(West of 35E) in Northwest Dallas

Pugs just announced that tomorrow (12/22) morning at 8:15 an announcement will be made by Jack Bishop concerning the fate of 1360.

Free beer for the first 1,360 listeners.

You think Pugs would be hanging around if it was anything bad? He would have trashed the station or burned the transmitter room to the ground.

Don't expect this announcement to be anything negative for Pugs and Kelly or positive for the DFW radio audience.

Do they ever make "a special announcement" from the PD for good news? I'm assuming a format change is in the works.
