It never really occurred to me that an LPFM would broadcast an HD radio signal but I guess anyone with a transmitter can do it. I wonder how many other LPFMs do that? Listening to the dance station for a couple of hours there was no mention of any "Rave" brand, just a continuous stream of songs with the top of the hour ID calling it "Pirate Radio 99.9 HD2" so they may now be trying to use Vanguards' former moniker on KSFE 96.7. The stream is also called "The Planet" so there seems to be a jumbling of names at the moment. However the 96.7 Pirate Radio social media pages are still up and there was some mention of an online stream coming but that was over a month ago. The format on this station leans more on vocal EDM and some rhythmic pop songs going back to the 80s but there are still some instrumental tracks as well. KSFE initially had a continuos mix with the music still playing during commercials and then later playing shorter songs around Spring. As to the other HD channels, Jazz Cafe is pretty similar to 103.7 The Oasis so Albuquerque now has two smooth jazz stations! WilD HD3 plays a lot of throwbacks and currents although this market has four hip-hop stations already.
