Ray Rayner

I know that he si dead, now but I like to see how many people here grew up watching Ray Rayner and his friends on WGN TV during the 60's, 70's, to the very early 80's, as his final shows were seen tape delay. If I am remembering correctly from the Bozo, Gar and Ray: WGN TV classics his last live show was like December 19th, 1980, and the last 6 weeks were seen on tape delay. I don't know of he was planning on retiring, or if WGN TV had decided to start airing it on a taped delay basis, and he found that he didn't like taping his show. As he had always done his show live until late 1980, I had to imagine he would have had vacation time during the series, so I don't know if anybody has ever filled in for him, like say if he was on vacation or got sick.
