I have a feeling that KWWL will do well under Quincy. They're a well-run company with a excellent group of TV stations in their roster.

KWWL has been consistently strong in the market. They have generally had the top rated 6 and 10 pm newscasts for over 25 years. They are the only station in the Cedar Rapids-Waterloo market currently multicasting as they air NBC Weather Plus and The Tube on their digital subchannels (along with KWWL-HD). This actually bring KWWL and KTIV Sioux City back under the same ownership. KWWL used to own KTIV until selling to AFLAC in the early 80s. AFLAC later sold KTIV to QNI and later sold the rest of the broadcast portfolio to Raycom Media.
I am glad to see that Raycom sold them to Quincy rather than someone like Nexstar. We already have Sinclair and they have run KGAN into the ground.
Edited by The_Outsider on 03/31/06 12:07 AM.
