It IS a night game, which means WWBA's killer 50 watt signal on powerdial 820 will sound like a fart in the wind.

The colorful expression reflects the poster's disdain for any other broadcasting.

Speaking of colorful expressions, isn't Don62 the same guy who constantly refers to "CrapChannel" and "naughtycrap" in his messages?

Pot, meet kettle. Kettle, meet pot.

Just sayin' ... I don't have a dog in this fight.
I haven't used the term "naughtycrap". You must be thinking of someone else who has taken on this spiteful, mean-spiritied and arrogant poster who doesn't want any other NT station in this long-monopolized market to succeed.

Any chance he gets he slams 820/1040 which at the moment has much more interesting local talk than the zero talk the other station has.

He's clearly bitter that WFLA's tight grip on the market with their once-most powerful signal is ending. And he detests anyone here dare point out the other side.

Clearly naughty is s an FLA insider who had a hand in purging the station of great talent. He claimed those people let go left on their own volition, when AllAccess and Bill Alm reported they were axed in a budget cut. Then he threatens the person I mentioned. Naughty, are you going to blackball him now? Who else have you blackballed in this industry?

How many of you would want to work for such a vindictive person who hates people working behind a microphone?

No, that would be you. See the "To Dan York" thread, reply #1 on October 10, 2008, at 7:48:04 p.m. You wrote:

Dan's show is good. He's more loose and freer to argue with objectionable callers.
This is something 'FLA knows nothing about. And worse yet, could care less about. Just take everything off the bird.
Now, naughtycrap will come on here and say WWBA has no business doing talk because no one will listen. Let him blather on and let the hosts prove such nags wrong.

Don62, you're correct about how disappointing WFLA has become in recent years, but you have very little credibility.

Okay, I missed that one. I looked at the other threads but couldn't find it.
I admit, that wasn't a fair name to use. I won't use it again.

Crap Ch., however, is used other places online. I didn't make that moniker up.

Lost Soul/Case Closed. (read take it outside for what you've missed)

Just heard the Saturday promo's for 970 WFLA... The U-S-F Bulls at noon, then Game 6: Rays/ALCS. What a station, huh!

1040/820/zero, will re-run the best of Dro Silva... next...

Carp all you want, but 820 has more talk and more news than your station. At least they act like a real talk station.

...and to give credit where credit is due, 1040 is going live this afternoon with Killer B's before game 6. Is Clear Channel doing a live broadcast on any of their stations?

Normally the flagship station just rolls with its regular pre game show. Its the bandwagoneers that will throw their people into "live pregame shows"..or the tv stations, who instead of turning it over to their sports guys, have anchors and anchorettes who come off like clueless cheerleaders ("The Rays are playing inside and are losing by one point...")

Just give the radio team, or TBS who was flawless until the Sox scored the winning run the other night, leaving Skip Carey to say "We're going back to Tampa"!

No, I'm quoting an anchorette who was "poised" outside the Trop during one of the previous playoff games. Graham, I think her last name was.

BTW, its 810 and the game should soon be underway...and TBS is running a crawl apologizing for techical difficulties. I'm "watching" the official MLB.com "roundtable". Between the three geeks on there, they've referred to the game being in "Tampa" five times since I've joined them at 805pm.

They've stated the game is underway..and are making no reference to the game outage on TBS; I'm thinking they havent been told...that, perhaps I'm the only one watching them....

Some comedian's sitcom is running. Hey this is TBS. Lets bring back NWA/Dubya C Dubya wrestling highlights, just like when the Braves had a rainout...

TBS is blaming "Router difficulties in Atlanta" for missing the whole first inning. Does anybody but me think a bean counter somewhere told an IT guy that they didn't need a back up because "router's never break?"

Different kind of router. In TV, routing switchers are used extensively to move various sources around a plant. Most modern plants are now digital, so instead of moving analog video and audio, they're now data streams, and that means some sort of processor. If the power supply to the system becomes a problem, as it apparently did last night, then we're waiting for the system to reboot, and then have the configuration reset. Bill Gates strikes again!

Routing switchers, data streams and processor reboot's, oh my. Sounds technical. Rays up 3-1 in game 7... just win it, Go Tampa Bay!

Congratulations, Tampa Bay Rays! American League Champs and World Series bound... impressive. Nothing could be better for St. Petersburg and the entire Tampa Bay region. Did somebody mention a waterfront stadium?

I was listening to Dawson McAllister Live online on 93.3 WFLZ and they cut off the show a minute early to play a clip of the TBS announcer saying the Rays were going to the World Series and the dj who does the overnight shift said it had happened 20 minutes earlier and that the Rays were AL Champions.

20 minutes, you say... guess they were right on top of it!
