Rays Radio

Just have to give a pat on the back to Andy Freed and company. The radio guys really do a fine job. As good as Dewayne and Joe are, the radio guys are a bit more objective. Listening to the radio broadcasts is really a pleasure.

I am a Yankee fan, But I think the Rays broadcasters on both TV and radio are terrific.

Given the youth and talent of the two radio guys, I can't imagine they'd want to hang around here for much longer if this team continues to struggle....ok....suck....

It takes someone very special..or someone with savings who likes the Florida lifestyle....to be Rays Broadcaster for all these years...

It would not surprise me in the least if another major league outfit came calling when their contracts are up.

I have to say I was skeptical when the 'new' radio team was done on the cheap, but they have turned out to be fine. Studio 20 is right though, someone will offer them a better wage with a better team at some point and they will be on their way.

I think Rays broadcasters should be paid MORE than those of any other team because of what they have to watch and broadcast on a daily basis. But like zoneguy, I was also skeptical of Dave and Andy at first, and I missed Paul Olden and Charlie Slowes. Luckily the new guys grew on my pretty fast and I think they've developed some nice chemistry.

I agree with you. The Rays should pay people to watch the product they put on the field.
They have about 6 or 7 players who are as good as anyone in baseball but there has to be about 10 players who are not even good enough to be Class a players.
