Raytheon RR-30 Remote Mixer

I've recently acquired a vintage Raytheon remote mic mixer. It looked like a rust bucket when I got it, but it cleaned up quite nicely. You can see a picture (and a lot of other stuff0 at http://www.chalkhillmedia.org/Museum/newstuff.htm

I'm missing a knob. They are similar in size to the RCA style knob, but are different in detail. Does anyone have one (or more) in his or her junk box? Any leads would be appreciated. Please email me through the link found on the web page with the picture.

Thanks!

Hey Chuck, can I use that for high school football this fall?

It would work just fine, but it is REALLY heavy. Not shown is the power supply, which is another 15-20 pounds. You’d also need to carry along a phone to dial in, unless you have a dedicated line. Instead, I'd recommend a Flip-Jack or maybe one of the cool remote mixers from JK audio.

Hi--

I came across one of these beasts recently. Don't have much use for it. Any idea what I should ask when I put it up for grabs?

Thanks,

Jeff

The link is dead, BTW.

I have the single channel and three channel versions of this amplifier. They were part of the original 1947 equipment package of the station I worked for and later owned. The equipment package included an RC-11 Raytheon console and a Raytheon limiter as well as a Doolittle frequency monitor and General Radio modulation monitor. I still have everything except the frequency monitor and limiter but I'm told they are still in the rack at the transmitter site. The remote amplifiers still have Raytheon tubes installed and I always assumed these to be the originals. I know I never replaced any of them during my 34 year run with the station.
